A young boy with blonde hair, wearing a gray t-shirt, black shorts, and black boots, pushes a small orange wheelbarrow with black slides in an outdoor play area. The background features a white fence, a green plastic playhouse, a blue and red picnic table, and a beige play structure resembling a castle.

Welcome

At Little Sprouts Childcare Center, we meet each child where they are—adapting our approach, focus, and environment to support their unique needs and interests. Whether your child is an eager explorer, creative thinker, or quiet observer, we create a nurturing space that fosters growth and supports the whole family.

A different kind of childcare

Let the child be the scriptwriter, the director, and the actor in his own play.

Our Program

The Village

  • It takes a village—let our center be yours.

In The Village, children spend multiple years in a small, connected community with caregivers who know them by name. This long-term consistency allows children to form strong friendships, trusting relationships, and a sense of security as they grow.

    What makes us different:

    • Consistency that lasts: Children remain with familiar caregivers and peers from birth to age three.

    • A program that grows with them: Routines, learning experiences, and spaces shift as children develop.

    • Families as partners: We work closely with you because you are your child’s first and best teacher.

Thoughtful growth: Our group expands gradually as licensing allows, keeping balance and continuity.

    • 24 months: the group grows from 8 to 12 children.

    • 30 months: we add 4 more children.

    • 36 months: families can continue in Wildflowers Un-Preschool, a mixed-age 3-K program that builds on The Village experience, or transition to another preschool program. At this point, the toddler group resets to 8 infants, starting the next birth-to-three loop.

We currently have two rooms: The Village upstairs for infants and toddlers, and Wildflowers downstairs for our mixed-age 3-K program. While we hope to grow in the future, for now our focus is on keeping each group small, connected, and fully supported.

We named it The Village because we believe families need tight-knit communities again. Here, children are known, cared for, and supported every step of the way.

  • How It Works
Children join a small, mixed-age group that stays together, just as you would see in a family childcare setting. We enroll in waves based on the group’s age—not year-round.

    Upcoming Openings

    • Our current infant-toddler group is full (we’re expecting our youngest child in fall 2025).

    • As that child nears age two, we’ll open four spots for two-year-olds (fall 2027).

    • Earlier openings are rare but may happen if a family moves or withdraws.

    Looking to the Future
We're planning to expand our center with room for multiple loops. This will allow us to welcome more children at every stage of development.

Wildflowers

  • Wildflowers, our Un-Preschool, offers nineteen spaces in a year-round, full-day program. Designed for children ready for deeper exploration, Wildflowers nurtures inquiry, independence, and real-world connection.

Spaces are first offered to children growing out of The Village, with additional enrollment open as available. Rather than following a set curriculum, Wildflowers is built around the children's own questions, discoveries, and projects—trusting their ability to think deeply, create meaning, and shape their own learning journey.

  • We use months rather than years as a reminder that, while they can seem wise beyond their years, children are still learning and we need to have realistic expectations for their behavior.

Consistent

At Little Sprouts Childcare Center, we believe strong relationships grow through time and trust. That’s why children stay with familiar caregivers over long periods, building deep, meaningful connections with the people who care for them every day.

Child-Centered

In our program, children lead their own learning through play, with gentle guidance from caregivers. We follow each child’s interests and needs, creating space for exploration and growth. This approach nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of discovery.

Respectful

Our program is rooted in respect, with a focus on building trusting relationships with every child. We create an environment where children feel safe to express themselves, build connections, and grow with confidence. We honor each child’s voice as part of their learning journey.
